EU – China ties are strong and diverse, covering trade and economic relations but also, increasingly, focused on political and security issues as well as on promoting links between people and cultures. The potential for a further development of relations is being explored by both sides through regular meetings, high-level visits and a constant conversation between policymakers, students, business leaders, academics and think tank representatives.
Starting with 2013, EDP has launched a designated department to foster EU-China Relations, with specialised services for Chinese Companies that wish to enter EU market. At that time, E.D.P. has represented Romanian companies to the Economic Mission for Growth to China organized by Vice-President Antonio Tajani and Commissioner Potocnik to China.
The programme of the mission included high-level governmental meetings, briefing on Doing Business in China, roundtable on green business opportunities in China ith the participation of the Chinese Minister of Industry and Information Technology, reception at the EU Delegation with EU Member States Ambassadors, matchmaking event organized with the participation of numerous Chinese SMEs, business breakfast with the members of the Chinese Entrepreneurs Club.

During this period, many business partnerships have been signed and trade has started as results of the events and business trips.
Recent political negotiations between the EU and China are laying the foundation for a new era of business opportunities. Our department has the best experts in the field in order to eliminate any barriers for companies to start doing business at another level.
